Pinterest seems to elicit strong feelings from people — especially women. Love it vs hate it. It sets unrealistic expectations vs I get all my best ideas off of Pinterest. There are people who refuse to join (good for them!), and people who maybe need an intervention. ;)

I really enjoy Pinterest. I actually meal plan and cook  a lot from my eats board, have come up with new outfit combinations out of my own closet via my style board, and am currently even using a couple of my boards as shopping lists and registries. I think it appeals to my OCD nature. It doesn’t cause me to feel like some sort of failure on any front, because hey … no one is forcing me to peruse Pinterest.

But there is a lot of junk on Pinterest, and especially if you’re using the site with specifics in mind, it can quickly become overwhelming. And don’t even get me started on bad links, and pinners who don’t give proper credit! Below, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Pinterest accounts to follow. Pinners with consistently good content, whose pins I always look forward to browsing.

Freshly Picked: Flawless, kid-related content from Susan, owner and CEO of Freshly Picked moccasins. Lots of DIY too, which I love.

Lindsay Dixon: Sweet, Southern blogger with style. What to wear, wedding inspiration, and home styling. This girl’s got it.

Catherine McCord: Of Weelicious fame. Catherine knows food, for the whole family. Her emphasis on creative, healthy options for tots makes me super happy!

Lacy Stroessner: One could call Lacy’s Pinterest account A Mom’s Guide to the Internet. She knows what’s up. She links to great articles on parenting, fun pieces for pregnant mamas, homestead living, and more. Plus, she’s one of the kindest gals on the internet.

Sarah Yates: Pure perfection. Blogger/photographer extraordinaire, with taste that can’t be beat. If you find yourself craving California living, this is an account you don’t want to miss.
